This week with R+K…
Where did the week go?! It was a busy one, complimented by the beautiful weather we’ve had! An early Spring is just the pick me up we all needed. Our kids have Spring Break this coming week, so we're looking forward to spending time outdoors.
Updates around Lawrence…
As cases remain low, more and more places are continuing to open back up and/or ramp up for the Summer season. With that, many local places are hiring! Just a few I’ve seen this past week include: A-Team, Bird Dog at the Oread, Ta Co., The Toy Store, Lawrence Brewing Co, Fields & Ivy, and Free State Brewing.
Looking for things to do over Spring Break? AR Workshop has to-go art kits ready for purchase, as well as a schedule of classes.
Lucia Beer Garden + Grill opens its latest pop-up later this week; Shamrock Shack! Running March 11-21, this fun pop up will feature Irish culture and cuisine. Get reservations now on their website!
LJWorld announced that the vacant 6th St Hyvee building will be occupied by Velocity church in the near future: https://www2.ljworld.com/weblogs/town_talk/2021/mar/03/lawrence-church-strikes-deal-to-locate-in-former-hy-vee-grocery-store-on-sixth-street/
One of my favorite Lawrence events, the KS Food Truck Festival, announced this week they are officially postponing the event until May 7, 2022. Mark your calendars!
Keep an eye out downtown; Alchemy recently mentioned preparing to re-open the downtown location finally! They have been operating only out of the limited drive thru location since March 21st 2020.
Got kiddos in the 2-6 age range? The Lawrence Arts Center is hosting a virtual play lab interactive performance called Hubbub, running at various times March 14-28. Check it out!
This week we were excited to expand our Buyer Rewards program, giving you more options! Now, you can redeem Buyer Rewards points as credit toward your closing costs!
