Recently Ryan sat down to discuss the impact of the Lawrence Board of Realtors Community Foundation w/ Envista Credit Union. As the inaugural Chairperson of the Foundation, Ryan has a unique perspective when it comes to discussing the impact the Foundation has made for local housing needs in Lawrence and Douglas County. Through our many events over the years including the All In for the Community Poker Tournament, the Sumer Brew Fest, the Charity Classic Golf Tournament, and Lawrence Lights Making Spirits Bright, the Foundation has been able to raise 10's of thousands of dollars over the past several years!
Through the Envista Cares Challenge, we're looking to help in yet one more way! Envista will match every dollar raised up to $2,500. As of the writing of this blog post, we're already up to $1,300!
As an example, the LBOR Community Foundation has been able to partner with local charities like Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise, and the Douglas County Housing Authority to identify & fund specific housing needs within our community. These efforts have been a direct fulfillment of the Foundation's Vision Statement: "A Stronger Community through Housing!"
